Brooklyn Center Mayor Tim Willson and members of the Brooklyn Center Business Association (BCBA) will be on hand for The Sanctuary at Brooklyn Center’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 11, from 4 to 6pm to be held at the temporary Welcome Center, located at 1560 Shingle Creek Parkway, Suite 112, Brooklyn Center, MN.
The assisted living and memory care community is currently under construction at 6121 Brooklyn Boulevard and is scheduled to open January 2018. The four-story building will feature 130 studio and one-bedroom assisted living apartments and 28 memory support studios. Convenient, on-site amenities to help residents live fully and independently as possible will include: beauty salon and barber, community room with demonstration kitchen, fitness gym, library and technology center, movie theater, wellness suite and a fully equipped laundry room with complimentary washers and dryers.
The Sanctuary is truly unique in that it offers affordable monthly rates with no upfront fees and financial assistance to those who qualify.
“The opening of The Sanctuary is really good news for older adults living in Brooklyn Center and nearby towns,” said Mark Allen of the BCBA. “Our communities’ seniors will now have safe, affordable housing with the services they need to live as independently as possible for as long as possible.
The Sanctuary is owned by SCA Properties, a real estate development and finance company specializing in rental and affordable housing, and operated by Pathway to Living, a premier owner, operator, manager and developer of residential independent, supportive living, assisted living and memory care communities in the Midwest.
